Guidance in a Misguided World.
We believe that, because all believers are members of “One Body” (Rom. 12:5; 1 Cor. 12:12–13) in Christ, every human being has direct relations with God and needs no other priest as a mediator, and that the believer is responsible to God in all matters of faith. We believe that a church is independent (Jn. 18:36) and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical body or political authority (Jn. 19:11), and that therefore the church and State must be kept separate as having different functions, each fulfilling its duties free from dictations and patronage of the other (Rom. 13:1-5).
