Faith Receives What Grace Provides

Date: June 17, 2026

3 Main Points

1. Faith Adds Nothing to Grace.

Faith is not a contribution to salvation. It does not improve, complete, or strengthen God’s provision. It simply receives what God has already accomplished.

 2. Grace Is the Source; Faith Is the Means.

Paul begins with grace, not faith. Salvation flows from God’s gracious initiative. Faith is the channel through which the believer receives what God has already provided.

3. Faith Renounces Self-Reliance.

To believe is to abandon confidence in personal merit, works, morality, or religious achievement. Faith says, “What I cannot provide, God has provided.”

Therefore

Takeaway

Faith receives what grace provides; therefore, the believer lives not by self-effort, but by continual dependence upon the all-sufficient grace of God in Christ.

If this message spoke to your heart, consider sharing it with someone who may be carrying the burden of trying to earn God’s acceptance. This reminder could help them find peace in the truth that salvation is a gift of grace, received through faith in Christ.
